The IFIGD aims to create a sense of purpose, confidence and empowerment for girls who have been marginalized, regardless of ability. They're planning a Nowruz Bazaar and celebration in the Waterfront park of San Diego, this event will not only raise funds for girls and women with disabilities around the world, but also raise cultural awareness and educate the community about Nowruz and the Persian new year. "The IFIGD is publicly supported through donations from individuals, other charitable foundations, and local and national businesses that recognize the work that needs to be done, to provide employment training, career guidance, job placement services that will create Independence for girls and women with disabilities and valuable workforce development resources for businesses." stated Mehdi Moussavi, CPA, CAMS, Chief Financial Officer of IFIGD.
IFIGD empowers girls who have been marginalized by the society, and gives them a voice.
