Dr. Joyce Kurdian has been going on consecutive dental missions to Armenia for the past 7 years. On the past four missions, she was the leader of a group of physicians, nurses, dentists and healthcare professionals who embarked to rural areas in Armenia where members of society would otherwise not receive proper care due to lack of access. Dr Kurdian will be leaving for Armenia again in a few weeks to help lead another medical/dental mission.
Dr. R. Cameron Witt has been traveling to Honduras over the past 21 years to provide dentistry to the students grades K-9 of Hearts for Honduras School. The school was built by a combined team of local Hondurans and volunteers from the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church. The school provides an education to approximately 200 children each year who are too poor to attend the public schools in Honduras. For students wishing to continue beyond 9th grade, scholarships are available for them to complete high school, college, and even graduate school. This year's dental team included 2 Honduran dentists who completed their early education at the Hearts for Honduras School and were helped by the school to complete their dental degrees. They have now returned to Hearts for Honduras to "pay it forward." The most recent trip to serve at the Hearts for Honduras School was in April 2019.
