Innovative Wearable Technology Brings Relief to Kids Through New Song, "I Know"

NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The TouchPoint Solution, the firm behind wearable devices that alleviate

anxiety and are said to improve productivity and sleep, is joining forces with Singing for Superheroes to combat childhood anxiety.

The partnership, which includes an original song written by Steven Battey, four-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and performed by Ashanti, features TouchPoints wearables and will culminate with an Indiegogo campaign on October 23, to raise awareness about childhood anxiety and to get TouchPoints into Boys and Girls Clubs across America.

"We've been given the opportunity to join forces on such a large platform, to bring attention to an issue that still has major negative consequences to the health and wellbeing of children," said Vicki Mayo, co-founder of TouchPoint Solution.

Over 25 percent of teenagers struggle with mild to moderate anxiety. TouchPoints, developed over the course of a decade by neuropsychologist Amy Serin, Ph.D, utilize bilateral alternating stimulation tactile (BLAST) technology to alleviate underlying stress within seconds.

Singing for Superheroes, founded by Battey and Alix Petersen, aims to bring awareness of children facing disabilities and diseases through the power of music. Battey won his first Grammy in 2011 and Petersen has an extensive background in healthcare.

"I think we've all experienced anxiety. Sometimes when there's a lot going on, I will literally wake up in the middle of the night with my stomach in knots. It's a part of life and I think it's especially hard for kids," said Ashanti.

About TouchPoint Solution

Neuropsychologist Amy Serin, Ph.D., and child advocate Vicki Mayo founded The Touchpoint Solution in late 2015 with the mission of bringing relief to the millions of people who suffer from stress and anxiety. Over the last decade, Dr. Serin's work in therapy and neuroscience led to the discovery that a component of successful PTSD treatment could be used as a stand-alone product for a range of individuals whose stress and intensities hamper performance, relaxation, sleep, and their ability to cope with sensory stimuli. Dr. Serin recognized that this method was too powerful to be confined to doctors' offices and partnered with long-time friend and entrepreneur Vicki Mayo to bring TouchPoints™ to the world.
