"We are very proud of the work we do at The Snoring Center," said Dr. Craig Schwimmer, MD, MPH, FACS, founder and medical director of The Snoring Center.  "Lack of sleep can cause everything from fatigue and short tempers, to decreased job performance and auto accidents – things that can dramatically impact people's physical and personal lives.  That's why we only want the most qualified individuals on our team; individuals who reflect our commitment to providing excellent service and results that can truly make a difference.  The talent and dedication Dr. Fulmer brings to his work will make him a strong addition."

"I am honored to join The Snoring Center's wonderful team and look forward to continuing the great work being done by Dr. Craig Schwimmer and his staff," said Dr. Fulmer.  "Chronic snoring and sleep apnea have significant impacts on the body and mind, and our Houston and Austin offices will be dedicated to helping those suffering from snoring and sleep apnea – and those around them – get a better night's sleep."

Dr. Fulmer is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons, an associate fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.

Board Certified Ear, Nose and Throat doctors at The Snoring Center offer a variety of treatment options, allowing for customized treatment based on each patient's anatomy and circumstances.  These treatment options include the Pillar Procedure, Laser Tonsillectomy, Coblation of the Nasal Turbinates and Soft Palate Coblation.

  • The Pillar Procedure involves the placement of woven inserts into the soft palate.  Over time, the body's natural tissue response to the inserts increases the structural integrity of the soft palate, thereby reducing the vibration that causes snoring.  More than 40,000 people worldwide have been treated with Medtronic's Pillar Procedure to reduce snoring.
  • The Laser Tonsillectomy procedure reduces the size of enlarged tonsils, which potentially block the airway during sleep.  Laser Tonsillectomy is also ideal for the chronic tonsillitis sufferer, as it shrinks enlarged tonsils that can act as breeding grounds for bacterial infections.
  • Coblation of the Nasal Turbinates is a quick, well-tolerated procedure that applies radiofrequency energy to shrink nasal tissue, benefitting both the snorer and allergy-sufferer.
  • Soft Palate Coblation also uses radiofrequency energy to stiffen the soft palate, decreasing tissue vibration that causes disruptive snoring.
The Snoring Center also offers Home Sleep Studies as a diagnostic tool for obstructive sleep apnea.  These home-based studies are significantly less expensive, more convenient, often preferred by patients because they are done in the comfort of one's own bed and may allow for a more representative night's sleep.  The device can be returned the next day for interpretation of the data by our medical staff.

About The Snoring Center

The Snoring Center(SM) is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from snoring and sleep apnea; bringing more effective, minimally-invasive treatments to the sleep-deprived public.  It is one of America's leading providers of office-based treatments for sleep-disordered breathing.

Snoring is more than just an embarrassment and can be indicative of serious health problems.  Even mild snoring can disrupt sleep, depriving snorers and their bed partners of the rest they need.  Through quick, convenient and effective treatment options, vs. the cumbersome, painful CPAP mask and traditional surgery, Snoring Center patients benefit from a better night's sleep, improving both their physical and personal quality of life.

The Snoring Center is the nation's leading provider of the Pillar Procedure and expert at in-office Laser Tonsillectomy, Soft Palate Coblation® and Coblation-Assisted Turbinate Reduction.  Many of the procedures are done during an office visit with local anesthesia and require minimal recovery time.

The Snoring Center is open in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.  For more information please visit www.SnoringCenter.com or call (214) 369-2345.
