NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, April 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Employees for The SCOOTER Store, America's leading supplier of power wheelchairs and scooters, raised $13,000 for the Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by participating in the MS150 bike ride.

In addition, The SCOOTER Store donated $30,000 as a Platinum Sponsor of the two-day cycling journey from Houston to Austin. It was the 5th year that the company participated as a sponsor.

Multiple sclerosis is a debilitating disease that strikes the central nervous system. The body attacks the fatty tissue that protects nerve fibers. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, founded in 1946, is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of the disease.
