CHAPEL HILL, N.C., August 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TSI Healthcare, a national leader in the sales and support for

NextGen Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) solutions, announced plans to provide physicians with innovative solutions through the nation's leading information network, Surescripts ® Record Locator & Exchange (formerly known as National Record Locator Service).

Surescripts operates within the nationwide Carequality Interoperability Framework which supports a common set of legal, technical, and policy regulations for data sharing across technology platforms and networks. TSI Healthcare is among the first EHR vendors who have agreed to offer the Record Locator & Exchange capability to users.

Surescripts Record Locator & Exchange provides practices with access to a more complete picture of patient's history by accessing data from any EHR vendor, regardless of where care was delivered. Providers can now quickly and efficiently identify and share patient records with other providers on other systems. Record Locator & Exchange enables providers to learn more about prior care experiences and tailor treatment accordingly. These tools will streamline the process of identifying previous patient visit locations and requesting relevant clinical records.

Record Locator & Exchange officially launched in 2017 and has expanded its network of patient and provider information to include more than 1.47 million healthcare providers nationwide securely exchanging 13.17 billion health data transactions. TSI Healthcare was recognized as one of the first IT health vendors to offer participating providers with access to 233 million patients – 71 percent of the U.S. population – through the Record Locator & Exchange.

"TSI Healthcare's partnership with NextGen ® and the Surescripts Record Locator & Exchange demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring physicians have the tools necessary to provide the next level of quality patient care," said David M. Dickson, Jr., TSI Healthcare's founder, president, and CEO. "By taking our partnership with Surescripts to this heightened level of interoperability, we are proactively improving patient care nationwide."
