The 2016 Annual Results Report, which is presented each year by the Spanish drug treatment center TAVAD, again reveals an excellent retention rate in their advanced addiction treatments. Specifically, after one year of discharge from hospital, 90% of the patients who treated their alcohol addiction progressed positively.

The TAVAD advanced detoxification method allows numerous indicators of illness to normalize within 48 hours, and the patients do not feel any withdrawal symptoms, nor any desire to consume, key points for the detoxification process to be completed successfully.

"Our alcohol detoxification treatment facilitates significant recuperation in the neural areas damaged by the consumption and abuse of drugs. The advanced pharmacology that we apply during the hospital admittance strengthens the restructuring of the executive functions of patients, such as their capacity to focus and make decisions, as well as improving their memories and conscience," says Dr. Legarda, Director of the Center.

For more than 20 years, TAVAD clinical research has focused on its objectives of improving treatment results and searching for new procedures to improve the well-being and recovery of patients at the center. One small example of this is the recent incorporation of specific nutrition, personal training and mindfulness programs. They are adapted to each patient and serve as a tool to facilitate the process of changes in lifestyle, as well as reinforcing the advanced addiction treatment applied at the detox clinic.

Furthermore, during the entire alcohol addiction treatment process, which is conducted for one year, a team of specialists qualified in internal medicine, psychology and psychiatry offer support to patients and their families.
