Brown's responsibilities will include integrated brand strategy, customer support and creating market development programs to greater build Swift's market share in the field of genomic sequencing. She will also handle general and strategic communications for the company.
Prior to joining Swift, Brown served as Director of Single-Cell Genomics at Fluidigm Corporation, a microfluidics and mass cytometry technology manufacturer, where she was responsible for market research, strategic planning, life cycle management and market development.
Brown also previously directed the strategic marketing for DNA applications within Affymetrix, Inc. including cytogenetics and genotyping product lines. She held various positions during her tenure at Applied Biosystems, a world leader in life science and DNA sequencing technology, including product development, customer support and product marketing for DNA sequencing and PCR-based applications. She conducted research at Applied Biosystems, the Baxter Corporation (MicroScan Division), and the Biocircuits Corporation where she developed DNA assays for human diagnostics and microbial detection.
Brown earned a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Human Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
