Glimmer of Hope has been supporting breast cancer research studies atMagee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA for several years. Dr. PantiniSukumvanich, a specialized surgeon and gynecologic oncologist specializing inthe treatment of gynecologic and breast cancers is currently conducting apilot study aimed at determining potential markers for increase risk of breastcancer in young (pre-menopausal) women. Sukumvanich said the long-term goalof the study is to prevent breast cancer by identifying the markers andintervening clinically using nutritional and dietary supplements. He ishoping to have results in a year.
