Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. Currently, the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 12 percent. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance she will develop breast cancer. Men can also get breast cancer.

"We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers and donors and truly appreciate these amazing Pacific Northwest women founders coming together to help contribute to our mission to free the world from cancer," said Larry Andrus, executive director with the American Cancer Society. "They are flexing their entrepreneurial muscles to fight against cancer. I can't tell you how grateful we are to these women as they band together to make an even bigger difference."

STOMP CANCER WHILE YOU SHOP Name.com donated the domain http://www.foundersfightcancer.charity for three years to the Pacific Northwest women entrepreneurs, where the companies will feature their Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. The women hope this year's event is the first of many where more startups nationwide, both men and women, will come together annually during Breast Cancer Awareness month to fight cancer together.
