Spring Events Benefit Breast Cancer, The Red Devils Including June 13 'Heart and Sole Stroll'

BALTIMORE, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- From a group of equestrians gathering for a cause to a June walk for charity, volunteers pull out all the stops this spring for The Red Devils, a non-profit working to improve the quality-of-life for Maryland breast cancer patients and their families.  Through a partnership with 36 hospitals and breast cancer centers, patients are referred to The Red Devils which works with a service provider network to offer free assistance including transportation to and from medical appointments; meals and groceries; therapeutic massages and acupuncture; assistance with drug co-payments and more.

Below is a listing of June events that support The Red Devils.

Saturday, June 5 "Ride the Trail to the Cure" organized by the League of Maryland Horsemen. The three-hour ride through Patapsco State Park starts at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting, from the League's property at 8067 Henryton Road, Marriottsville, MD  21104.  Minimum $50 donation requested. Sunday, June 13 Heart and Sole Stroll - the signature fundraising event of the year for The Red Devils.  Don your sneakers and come out for the 2.4-mile walk through nature around Centennial Lake in Howard County.

Enter Centennial Park via the South Entrance, 10000 Rte. 108 in Ellicott City, MD and follow the signs to Pavilion A.  The walk starts at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine (9:00 a.m. registration).  Presenting sponsors are Under Armour and MIX 106.5 Radio.  A host of activities is planned, including entertainment for children.  Enter your dog in the "Devil Dog Parade."  Prizes for top fundraisers; raffle and more.  Register now on-line at www.heartandsolestroll.com

Cost: $35 individuals; $70 families.  Formation of teams is especially encouraged.
