In 2016, after retiring from the Army, Kevin completed dual master's degrees from the MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA) and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (MPA). Kevin has successfully translated the skillsets he learned as a Green Beret, such as innovative problem-solving, mentoring and leading, and developing cross- functional teams, into the workplace.

Kevin's military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (two awards), Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal, Airborne Parachutist Badge and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

"We are incredibly pleased to welcome Kevin to join the Green Beret Foundation's board and look forward to his contributions," said Jim Kester, Vice Chairman of the Green Beret Foundation Board of Directors. "Kevin is a model of perseverance and truly understands the complexity of what it means to be a Green Beret. His incredible educational background and work experience will be invaluable to the Foundation."

Since retiring from the military, Kevin remains committed to sharing his story of resilience and courage through speaking engagements and writing for his blog Wounded By War. Most recently, Kevin produced a first-of-its-kind documentary, which will debut on November 13th, called "Wounded By War." This video takes the audience through Kevin's journey, from the day of his injury, struggles with PTSD and his transition from being an active duty soldier moving into the private sector.

"I am honored to join the Green Beret Foundation Board of Directors and uphold the mission of the Foundation," Kevin expressed. "The Green Beret Foundation was there to support me when I faced my toughest battles, and I will help continue this legacy for others."
