MARIETTA, Ga., Aug. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Speak Georgia is a series of town hall-styled, kitchen-table talks
On Thursday, August 8th, 2019 they will host their next town hall with Georgia House Representative and Sponsor of HB 481, also known as The Georgia Heartbeat Bill, Rep. Ed Setzler. The objective is to unravel this very controversial bill to see what else we can expect from this new policy.
The debate around abortion has often become the center of socio-political debates, especially in states like Georgia where legislation has been recently introduced. The Georgia Heartbeat Bill would prohibit abortions after a heartbeat can be detected in a conceptus, which is usually when a woman is six weeks pregnant.
Gain insight into the questions and concerns the community and nation have surrounding the bill as well as the possible impacts it may have. Register for Speak Georgia Town Hall: Unraveling the Georgia Heartbeat Bill that will be held on August 8th, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments and beverages will be served.
About Speak Georgia
Speak Georgia is the brainchild of Janelle Jones, a political consultant, and Former Deputy State Director with the Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP) and Kelvin King, the owner of a successful construction firm, Osprey Management. The idea stemmed from the many conversations Janelle and Kelvin had while sitting around their own kitchen tables. In an effort to keep those conversations going while inviting more voices to the table, they decided to create Speak Georgia which would take the form of community town hall discussions. Hence, a non-partisan idea was born where community members are able to explore and speak on popular political topics affecting Georgia, its communities and the United States.
