The integrated Electronic Health Record and Practice Management solutionfrom Allscripts will link Southwestern Medical Clinic's administrative andclinical functions, enabling the group to be more productive while improvingservice to patients. The Electronic Health Record provides anytime-anywhereaccess to patient records and automates everyday clinical tasks such asprescribing and refilling medications, ordering and reviewing tests, andmanaging patient care according to clinical best practices. The PracticeManagement solution delivers sophisticated scheduling and billing tools thatimprove accuracy, speed reimbursement and enhance patient relations.

Allscripts will replace Southwestern Medical Clinic's 13-year-old practicemanagement system and digitize the organization's paper medical charts, whichcurrently are sent by courier between clinics, some of which are more than 30miles apart.
