KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., April 8 Smooth Fitness, the largest online retailer of home fitness equipment, today announced that Pat Croce has officially joined as a spokesperson for the company. Croce, who first began his relationship with Smooth Fitness in 2006 as a member of the Board of Directors, will help guide product development and endorse the company's line of treadmills and ellipticals to help millions across the country reach their fitness goals.

As a high-energy and highly motivated individual, Croce is a great embodiment of the Smooth Fitness brand and has done his due diligence on their products as well. "I tested model after model and noticed different features and options that I'd never seen before - Motion Control, Power Fold, Swing Arm cushioning, Lite Touch, the list goes on," said Croce. "I hadn't seen this kind of innovation on fitness equipment before and knew this was for me. I was sold!"

Croce got his start when he opened his first sports medicine center in 1979. After 16 years, he sold his centers and joined the Philadelphia 76ers. As President and Minority Owner of the 76ers from 1996-2001, Croce revitalized the franchise, culminating in an Eastern Conference title and an appearance in the 2001 NBA Finals.
With an intuitive understanding of the consumer mindset, Croce is never short on new ideas and initiatives. All of this while traveling the country on his public speaking circuit, motivating thousands. Croce's latest projects include working with Paramount to produce a motion picture chronicling the life of the famous pirate Blackbeard and the launch of a new breed of pirate and treasure museum in St. Augustine, FL.
