BRANCHVILLE, N.J., April 3, 2008 SelectiveInsurance Group, Inc. announced the following appointments by its subsidiary,Selective Insurance Company of America ("Selective"):

Yanina Hupka (Sparrowbush, NY), to vice president of operations includingreinsurance. Previously she served as assistant vice president and assistantcontroller. Ms. Hupka joined Selective in September 2000 as a seniorreinsurance accountant. Before coming to Selective, she was a reinsurancetechnical analyst with Frontier Insurance Company. Ms. Hupka holds a B.A. fromthe State University of New York in New Paltz, NY and holds the Associate inReinsurance (ARe), and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF)designations from the Insurance Institute of America.

Deborah Dickens-Hunter (Bridgewater, NJ), to assistant vice president,personal lines product manager. Ms. Dickens-Hunter joined Selective inFebruary 2008. She came to Selective from Allstate New Jersey InsuranceCompany where she served as field product manager. Ms. Dickens-Hunter holds aB.S.B.A. from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and holds a Masters ofScience in Insurance Management from Boston University in Massachusetts. Inaddition, she holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU)designation.
