While a graduate business student at Duke University, Nancy developed andchaired a conference entitled, "Addressing Diabesity(R): The Role of Businessin Confronting an Epidemic." Prior to attending business school, Nancy was apracticing orthopedic hand surgeon with Orthopedic Healthcare Northwest, P.C.,in Eugene, OR for eight years. During that time, she completed a specialfellowship in hand and micro-vascular surgery with the AO InternationalFoundation in Bern, Switzerland.
A Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, AAOS fellow, and fellowship-trainedhand surgeon, Nancy completed her residency, serving as Chief Resident, at theMayo Graduate School of Medicine and her fellowship at the Indiana HandCenter. She graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine in St.Louis. She holds a B.A. in Pre-professional Studies and Psychology from theUniversity of Notre Dame.
During 2007, Scale Venture Partners has completed its first institutionalfundraising, announced funding for four companies, and completed five exits,including the IPOs of Orexigen Therapeutics and Glu Mobile.
