The Lillian D. Wald award is in honor of the founder of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, which originated in 1893. Lillian was one of the most influential and celebrated pioneers in the history of nursing, social work and civil rights. Each year, the Lillian D. Wald Award is presented to those who have made significant contributions to the health and welfare of others. This year, at the 2017 VNSNY Benefit, "Together, we can make a difference," VNSNY recognized Mr. Brodsky for his contributions to VNSNY and to the homecare industry.
