VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sunshine Coast Health Centre, long deemed one of the top drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment programs in British Columbia, Canada, is proud to announce new outreach efforts for 2019 to increase awareness of key elements of drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment as well as trauma and PTSD treatment or therapy options. Located in Powell River, BC, the Centre serves men throughout British Columbia, from Vancouver to Victoria, Surrey to Burnaby, and everywhere in between even drawing residential patients from Calgary and Edmonton. The centerpiece of the new efforts will be a television commercial to be aired on "Hockey Night," which is obviously a very popular time for men and women alike in Canada.

"Outreach and awareness are key aspects of what we do vis-a-vis drugs, alcohol, trauma, PTSD, and other societal problems affecting Canada," explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "A television commercial broadcast on Hockey Night is an ideal strategy for our media outreach in 2019 because Hockey Night brings friends and family together, allowing loved ones to perhaps become more aware of how they can help encourage someone to seek out treatment, as well as the fact that Hockey Night is very popular with males and, for better or worse, there is a fair amount of drinking associated with the experience. Our commercial will heighten awareness of our non 12 step methodology, so we are announcing it now so that people can be on the lookout."

A NON 12 STEP DRUG REHAB AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT PROGRAM

Here is background on this release. SCHC uses a methodology based on the pioneering work of Viktor Frankl, who wrote "Man's Search for Meaning" out of his experience during the Holocaust of World War II. This "non 12 step" methodology helps persons find reservoirs of meaning and is a non-religious methodology as an alternative to the AA (Alcoholic Anonymous) and NarAnon (Narcotics Anonymous) programs. SCHC serves men only in a residential setting, and has clients coming to its Centre from all over Canada, not only the Western cities and provinces such as Vancouver, Victoria, or other cities in British Columbia but also adjacent provinces such as Alberta (cities such as Calgary and Edmonton) and as far away as Toronto, Ontario.

Outreach for the Centre consists of a flagship website and blog, a YouTube channel, a Facebook Page, and even "intake centers" in key cities throughout Canada. The Centre's staff participates in various annual conferences and forums throughout Canada so that they can help to grow awareness of non 12 step methodologies. The upcoming television commercial during "Hockey Night" in Canada is yet another exciting way that SCHC is not only on the vanguard of treatment methodologies against drugs, alcohol, trauma, and PTSD but is on the vanguard of social outreach. Interested persons should watch for the commercial or reach out to the Centre for more information directly.
