LOS ANGELES, May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ISSA-LA's Eleventh Annual Information Security Summit, #SummitXI, is scheduled
Two days of training kick things off on May 14-15, 2019 with world renowned trainers Jim Manico, Peter Kim, Kevin Cardwell, and Geoff Janjua teaching pen testing, application security, and red team hacking. Deploying Splunk? There is an introductory Splunk training, as well as an intermediate threat-hunting class using Splunk. There will also be two days of CTF (Capture the Flag) training and competition, and an all-day IoT Village.
Attendees can meet with their peers to discuss the challenges they face, share best practices they've employed, and the opportunities ahead of them as the cybersecurity landscape changes right under our feet. The opening reception under the stars at the historic Annenberg pool is a great place to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and share the day's lessons.
"Tired of vendor and for-profit conferences and summits? We are too. These forums are all built by Information Security Leaders with only educational talks by researchers and actual practitioners. No vendor pitches here! We hit the subjects you grapple with and share solutions from your peers," says Richard Greenberg, SummitXI Chair and President of ISSA Los Angeles, and ISSA International Fellow.
