This year, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a flu shot for everyone over the age of six months. The 2010-2011 vaccine offers protection against three strains of flu, including H1N1. According to the CDC, a flu shot can reduce the chance of becoming infected by influenza by up to 70%.
