Dr. Ilana Ressler Leads PCOS Initiative with Live Streams, Videos, Content and Events with Actionable Advice from Expert Guests

NORWALK, Conn., Aug. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RMA of Connecticut, a leader in fertility care, launches a back to school campaign for PCOS awareness month targeting young women who suffer from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). RMA of Connecticut reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Ilana Ressler will lead the campaign with live streams, videos, content, and events. Dr. Ressler will be joined by experts, including Jessica Ash, a social media influencer and authority on PCOS. Dr. Ressler and her expert guests will arm young women in college and their parents with education and practical day-to-day strategies to manage PCOS.

"One in ten women of childbearing age will receive a PCOS diagnosis, many of whom are in college and struggling with their health at this very challenging time," said Dr. Ilana Ressler, reproductive endocrinologist with RMA of Connecticut. The Perfect Breakfast - Nutritionist Jill Hickey will provide actionable dietary advice such as the importance of well-balanced meals and spreading your carb into throughout the day. Exercise Advice - PCOS patient and RMA employee Virginia Furnari will demonstrate dorm room exercises specifically for PCOS sufferers. Pizza Hangover - Nutritionist Jill Hickey will share how to recover from a night of not-so-healthy food and discuss how binge eating leads to both physical and emotional stress. PCOS Marathon Giveaway - The month-long PCOS awareness campaign will end with a marathon giveaway with more than $200 in health and wellness perks such as: a gift card from Whole Foods, a day planner, resistance bands and light weights.
