During the month of March, Professional Physical Therapy is raising awareness about the Athletic Training profession, while recognizing their own ATs for the compassionate care they provide to student-athletes. The company will piggyback on the NATA's theme "ATs Are Health Care," and activities will include weekly trivia questions and a social media campaign led by local student-athletes.

The company also launched Athletic Training month initiatives with two local sports teams — the Iona College Gaels in New Rochelle, and St. John's University Red Storm in Queens, NY. During recent basketball games, Professional honored the schools' Athletic Trainers with ceremonies on the court, including plaque presentations to their athletic training staff.

Angelo Marsella, Partner and Director of Sports Medicine at Professional Physical Therapy said, "March is always an exciting time, as it gives us the opportunity to shed light on the contributions Athletic Trainers continuously make to getting injured athletes back in the game. They work hand in hand with our physical therapists to provide athletes with the highest quality care from the time of injury until they're cleared to return to play. On countless occasions, our ATs have acted quickly, provided emergency care, and have saved lives."

Professional Physical Therapy provides Athletic Training services to more than 40 schools in the Northeast, offering a continuum of care that includes early recognition and evaluation of injuries, fast tracked physical therapy appointments in all 178 clinics, and referrals to top medical professionals.
