On Sunday, September 13(th), Polaroid, one of the most widely recognized and innovative consumer brands in the world, will be there as Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk participants follow one of five route options, ranging from the full 26.2-mile Boston Marathon course to a 3-mile route, to raise funds towards the research, care and cure for cancer, and to honor all those who have been touched by it.

Stephen Miller, Co-CEO of PLR IP Holdings, LLC and President of Boston-based Gordon Brothers Brands, a division of Gordon Brothers Group, which recently purchased the Polaroid brand along with joint venture partner Hilco Consumer Capital, stated, "It's a privilege to continue with this long-standing tradition, so much so, that both Polaroid and Gordon Brothers are actively sponsoring the Walk. What's more, employees from both companies have graciously volunteered their time to help make it a tremendous success. Please come out to show your support."

A Polaroid sponsored tent will be set up to greet walkers at the Boston Copley finish line where volunteers will be capturing and printing pictures of participants as they reach the important milestone of completing the Walk. The photographs will be placed in a commemorative frame and given to participants as keepsakes. Another Polaroid tent will be positioned at the 3-mile start on Binney Street at the Dana Farber building and will offer a carnival-like atmosphere. There will be clowns, face painting, music, food, and more. Volunteers representing Polaroid and Gordon Brothers will photograph children that stop by the tent and help them to decorate their photos with stickers, markers, etc. Typically, most of the children at the 3-mile start are patients at the Jimmy Fund Clinic.

The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk occurs on Sunday, September 13(th) and benefits the efforts of Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Join PLR and Gordon Brothers in making every step count towards the cure for cancer.
