SEATTLE, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Smart pill device and app developer Pillsy, which empowers individuals and caregivers to achieve better health outcomes, today announced the launch of its new user-oriented nutritional supplement subscription service Stride Nutrition ("Stride"). Stride Nutrition is unique in that it combines the convenience of high-quality dietary supplements, delivered to customers' doorsteps, with Pillsy's Bluetooth-enabled smart cap and mobile app – already trusted by thousands of patients and healthcare providers nationwide – to help individuals form and maintain healthier habits.

Each subscriber's first shipment will include a free Pillsy smart cap which, when paired with the Pillsy mobile app, will automatically track doses, send intelligent reminders if users forget to take their scheduled dose, and automatically order refills when it detects that there are fewer than 10 days' worth of supply remaining. Subscribers will also be able to update dosage settings, view their dosage history and share information with family caregivers, as required.

"Research indicates that habits are easier to establish if implementation is simple, if motivation is maintained, and if there are frequent reminders to partake," said Jeff LeBrun, chief executive officer of Pillsy and Stride Nutrition. "That's the science behind, and impetus for, the launch of Stride Nutrition. We offer busy individuals the convenience and motivation they need to remain on track when it comes to their health."

Stride Nutrition's quality supplements are made in small batches, ensuring compliance with manufacturing best practices, at a premium facility in Willamette Valley, Oregon. At launch, the following blends are available to U.S. subscribers in bottles of 90 tablets, with the additional option to preorder Stride's forthcoming nootropic and prenatal varieties:

  •     Multivitamin – a balanced blend of Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D and E; formulated as an "insurance policy" to ensure that the body receives the essentials it needs each day.
  •     Omega 3 – made from all-natural fish oil sources, each serving combines essential fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) to support optimal brain and eye health
  •     Probiotic – combining three probiotic strains (Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus) with a prebiotic (fructooligosaccharides) and mushroom extract to facilitate healthy digestive and immune system function.
According to Grand View Research, the global dietary supplements market continues to expand and is expected to reach more than $278 billion by 2024. This year, in the U.S. alone, the vitamin, mineral and nutritional supplement (VMS) market expanded to achieve record sales of $14 billion.

"People take vitamin supplements for many reasons – whether it's to prepare for a pregnancy, ease specific symptoms or to simply plug the gaps in a nutrient-deficient diet," added LeBrun. "The busy nature of modern lifestyles has seen an increasing number of individuals turn to dietary supplements as a means of guaranteeing that they get their vital nutrients, yet it is these very lifestyles that can lead to forgotten doses. At Stride, we aim to serve as a smart assistant for our customers' supplements and minimize the barriers to attaining positive health outcomes."
