PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Conference Forum announces the keynotes and FDA representation for the 6th annual Patients as Partners US conference taking place March 11-12, 2019 at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District Hotel, Philadelphia, PA.
Opening the 6th annual program is patient keynote, Judy Perkins,cancer veteran and the first person to be declared free of metastatic breast cancer after a course of immunotherapy, who will share her journey throughout the clinical trial.
Chief Patient Officer keynotes, Dr Julie Gerberding, Merck, Dr Anne Beal, Sanofi, and Jayne Gershkowitz, Amicus Therapeutics discuss essential development details for a patient-centric organization and how to empower employees to implement patient involvement strategies.
Ken Getz, Director of Sponsored Research Programs, Tufts CSDD returns to the program to provide a recent historical review of global initiatives to raise public awareness and public literacy about clinical research; evaluation of their impact; and identification of improvement opportunities.
A team of FDA Directors will report on their efforts to guide industry on fully integrating the patient voice in drug development. FDA leadership includes Dr Theresa Mullin, Director, Office of Strategic Programs, CDER; Dr Telba Irony, Deputy Director, Office of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, CBER; Dr Michelle Tarver, Director of Patient Science & Engagement, CDRH; Anindita Saha, Director of External Expertise and Partnerships, CDRH and Pujita Vaidya, Senior Advisor, Patient-Focused Drug Development Program, CDER.
