ANCHORAGE, Alaska, May 9, 2018 Pandere Shoes are stylish shoes that expand and adjust in all of the right places for individuals with conditions that cause swelling in the feet, ankles and lower calf area (edema). Women experiencing edema symptoms run into problems that haven't been solved by shoes currently in the market; they often find shoes that aren't adjustable, shoes that are adjustable but are also unattractive, shoes that come in limited styles and versatility, and shoes that restrict flexibility. Unfortunately, some people wind up buying shoes that are too big, taking a scissor to their too-tight shoes or just resorting to wearing slippers, and if there's one thing women know, it's that no one wants to wear slippers to a boardroom meeting or out on a date.
"There are many conditions that cause areas of the body to swell, especially the feet such as edema, diabetes, pregnancy, arthritis and a host of other conditions," said Laura Oden, Co-creator of Pandere. "I was interested to learn that millions of women, including me, experience these edema symptoms, yet there are limited choices for us when it comes to footwear. This Kickstarter project has been years in the making, and we really truly just want to provide women with stylish, comfortable, and practical shoes that they can integrate into their daily lives. We shouldn't be limited to orthopedic shoes anymore; there should be stylish, accommodating options."
The newly introduced Neo shoe differs from the current low-top Barista shoe by offering a low-boot style that will allow wearers unlimited opportunities to sport their Pandere shoes. A soft and supportive bootie, the Neo style provides comfort and style for more formal wear occasions. Pandere is the world's first closed shoe designed to expand in all of the right places: toebox, midfoot, and heel and ankle. One of the trickiest parts of designing an expandable shoe is retaining support and structure. Pandere has developed shoes that both expand and support. The shoes expand up to one and a half sizes to fit each individual foot.
