Pacific Coast Safety Fest Offers Low-Cost OSHA Classes in California and Nevada to Promote Workplace Safety

The OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is hosting an annual safety event in Northern California and the Las Vegas Nevada Area.

DUBLIN, Calif., Mar. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas

Community College District, the only OSHA authorized OTI Education Center headquartered in Northern California, is hosting the Pacific Coast Safety Fest, a low-cost occupational safety and health training event, in two locations – the San Francisco Bay Area and the Las Vegas Area - during the week of March 18-21, 2019. The San Francisco Bay Area event, sponsored by Region IX OSHA and Cal/OSHA, takes place on March 19-21, 2019, and the Las Vegas Area event, sponsored by Region IX OSHA, Nevada S.C.A.T.S. and CSU Dominguez Hills, takes place on March 18-19, 2019.

"Our annual Pacific Coast Safety Fest is a community event offering participants an opportunity to learn more about workplace safety by taking advantage of nominally priced OSHA safety classes," says Cari Elofson, Assistant Director of the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. "Our goal in providing low-cost occupational safety training to the larger community is to raise workplace safety awareness in order to help fulfill OSHA's mission that all workers return home safely every day."

The Pacific Coast Safety Fest is open to anyone interested in creating a safer workplace, including contractors, small business owners and representatives from organizations required to follow OSHA standards. Attendees pay a nominal fee of $20 per class at time of registration and receive credit for authorized OSHA Education Center classes and a certificate of attendance for each class completed. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with Safety Exhibitors in Northern California on March 19th and in the Las Vegas Area on March 18th. Space is limited and early registration is advised. Walk-ins will not be permitted.

Presentations on the latest OSHA updates and classes on topics ranging from safety and health management and record keeping rules to machinery and machine safeguarding, managing excavation hazards and outreach training will be featured at the following locations:
