The Department of Environmental Protection and the Lehigh Valley/Berks County Air Quality Partnership will kick off the summer ozone monitoring season at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Allentown Transportation Center, 6th & Linden streets.

Information about the health effects of smog and what residents and businesses can do to reduce this air pollutant in the Lehigh Valley will be presented. DEP will again sponsor the "Ride Free on Ozone Action Day" program on Lehigh/Northampton Transportation Authority buses.
