HAMILTON, N.J., June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Reza Kamarei, a food science and nutrition

expert who recently launched Dr. Reza GPS for Weight Loss plan, has been exploring the reasons why overweight & obesity do not go away despite the established scientific knowledge in this area. He has conducted
a comprehensive search on overweight, obesity and weight loss including global entities, US federal government agencies, American non-governmental organizations & non-profit organizations, American universities as well as commercially-available weight loss plans.

"Overweight and obesity are associated with three major classes of risks: health risks, social risks and financial risks and, as a result, nothing good comes out of being overweight or obese. Your health and wellbeing are forsaken, and your quality of life and happiness are compromised." - said Dr. Reza Kamarei.

Yet, the grand-scale problem of overweight & obesity does not go away. Why?  Because the currently offered solutions are not working: a series of recommendations that are not applicable to everyday life of an average overweight or obese person. "By definition, any solution that does not solve the problem is not a solution." - continued Dr. Reza Kamarei.

Ironically, faddish, quick fix and expensive weight loss plans are part of the problem leaving people confused and frustrated. The current weight loss plans have not been able to authentically solve the problem of overweight & obesity because of one or more of the following flaws and shortcomings:

  • Not fully science-based. Some focus only on "diet" and some on "exercise"(to compensate for scientific shortcomings, fashion is used instead)
  • Quick fix and fast result (band aid approach, not long-term result)
  • Need food weighing, calorie counting or specific recipe (difficult to follow)
  • Lack of flexibility for personal taste and pace
  • Need reading books or documents (requires extra time)
  • Need attending meetings (requires extra time)
  • Require to repeatedly buy specific brands of foods, beverages or dietary supplements (feeling helpless)
  • Expensive (hundreds of dollars, renewal cost)
  • Questionable safety and effectiveness
  • Gaining back the lost weight (yo-yo dieting)

"To effectively solve the grand-scale problem of overweight & obesity, we cannot ask or force people to accept the above flaws and shortcomings. We should recommend a science-based, authentic plan that is applicable to everyday life of an average overweight or obese person."

Dr. Reza has developed a weight loss plan that does not have any of the above flaws and shortcomings. He initially tried it on himself and lost more than 30 pounds. He then decided to share his successful plan with those who really want to lose weight.

"The reason that I thought my plan would be interesting to those who want to lose weight is that I do not talk as a theoretical scientist. I talk as a food and nutrition scientist who has gone through weight loss challenges himself. I have personally gone through ups and downs, pains and frustration of weight loss plans. As such, I am whole-heartedly supportive of those who want to lose weight," said Dr. Reza Kamarei.
