Jewell launched her legal career as a corporate and international regulatory compliance attorney. She later served as International Trade Counsel for Fortune 100 companies, and as the president and general counsel of a tech company. Jewell holds a Jurus Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law School, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. She will complete her Master's of Divinity from the Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University in 2021.
