MANCHESTER, N.H., Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Oasis Recovery Centers is proud to announce the addition of a new
Oasis Recovery Centers is an innovative treatment program that looks to expand upon patients' options for treatment. Immediate treatment is typically available within 24 hours to people struggling with opioid addiction. Outpatient medication assisted treatment is at the core of the program, and additional support is selected based on the individual. Oasis offers skilled physicians and nurse practitioners that are federally licensed and specially trained to provide highly effective treatments for opioid dependence and addiction.
"We are thrilled to be joining in the community outreach endeavors in Manchester, supporting the work that is being done by Keith Howard and the team at Hope for NH," said Advanced Practice Registered Nurse of Oasis Recovery Centers, Tonya Watkins.
"If someone is unsure what type of help or program is best, they can come in and explore their options and essentially we will help them build a program that is tailored to meet their needs. This may include medication and counseling or a breadth of additional options such as group sessions, yoga therapy, religious support or even art groups."
Hope for New Hampshire Recovery supports a variety of pathways to recovery, including 12-Step meetings, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, and 3 Principles. More important, Hope provides a supportive space for those in recovery. With this collaboration between Oasis and Hope, both companies are strengthened. Oasis will now be able to offer its patients a wide variety of recovery-based activities and Hope welcomes folks using MAT as part of their recovery.
"Hope is here to meet people's needs, not sit in judgment on anyone," said Keith Howard, Hope's Executive Director who is also in long-term recovery. "MAT saves lives. Living humans have a much better chance of finding happiness and meaning, so we embrace MAT as a pathway for some. The dead rarely find recovery at all."
In the new facility, outpatient medication assisted treatment is at the core of the program and additional support is selected based on the individual. Oasis firmly believes in convenient, private outpatient visits so patients can continue living their life. Individuals needing help with addiction will have a full spectrum of resources available to them, including medication assisted treatment. Immediate treatment is also accessible to those struggling with opioid addiction.
Watkins speaks for the entire Oasis team when asked about the Recovery Center's main goal. "To help determine what people need to get better and help them take control of their lives back, that's our role," said Watkins.
Drug related deaths have continuously been on the rise throughout the country, with New Hampshire ranking third overall for most deaths per 100,000 in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's statistics that were released last year.
The opioid epidemic in New Hampshire is no secret and the demand for treatment is highly prevalent. Most New Hampshire residents know someone who is or has been affected by drug abuse. With this crisis being so close to home, many are beginning to get involved in how to stop drug abuse or misuse and helping those in need.
