Saturday event in Spokane benefits people living with seizures



SPOKANE, Wash., June 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Epilepsy Foundation Northwest announces the Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy to be held this Saturday, June 21 in Spokane at Riverfront Park near the Northbank Picnic area. The event will take place from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

"Everyone is invited to participate in this event to support people living with epilepsy," said Ryan Oelrich, Program Manager. "We are thrilled people from throughout the greater Spokane area are joining in the effort to bring awareness and funds to this cause."

Proceeds from the Walk support uncompensated programs and services including Camp Discovery for children with epilepsy and their siblings, year-round educational and support groups, emergency medication assistance, employment counseling, and seizure response training programs for school personnel, first responders and employers.



The Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy will also be held on Saturday, June 21 in Seattle at Green Lake Park, and in Portland on Sunday, June 22 at Waterfront Park. All events benefit the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest.
