"Top Workplaces is more than just recognition," said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. "Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement."

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

"Becoming a Top Workplace isn't something organizations can buy," Claffey said. "It's an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It's a big deal."

Nightingale College is a blended-distance nursing school providing accredited pre-licensure associate and bachelor's degree nursing programs, and a post-licensure RN-to-BSN Program for nurses looking to obtain a BSN degree.

The College was founded in 2010 and over the eight years, has grown to

  • offer three accredited nursing degree programs with goals to expand into other health care disciplines within the next several years;
  • currently educate 500 enrolled learners across the three programs;
  • graduate 665 nursing learners;
  • provide nursing education centers throughout Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming with more states projected to open in 2019;
  • deliver the online RN-to-BSN Program to thirteen states;
  • and employ over 130 collaborators.
"At Nightingale College, every collaborator understands the mission of the College, which is, simply stated, to improve the human experience, believing improved health is the gateway to having an experience infused with happiness, meaning, and peace. Accordingly, we seek 'like-minded, like-hearted' individuals who are both motivated and rewarded by serving others. We believe the consequences of serving others are growth and satisfaction," said Kevin Smith, Director of Collaborator Experience at Nightingale College.

Nightingale College is excited to see the proof of the organization's vision and mission coming to life through collaborator feedback and engagement.

"We recognize all of us have the same needs in our employment relationships, some people are simply more aware of these needs at any given time. For those who are yearning to contribute, to belong, to help, to serve, to discover and to develop their talents, and to love others, we simply provide a values-driven framework to do so and prop open the door," Smith said.
