IDEAL IMPLANT® Premium Protection Plan is first to protect both early and late complications

DALLAS, Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Women who undergo breast implant surgery naturally want a beautiful, worry-free outcome. However, the implant manufacturer's warranty does not always protect them against uninsured expenses for unexpected complications. Women can now elect low-cost, extensive protection for their breast augmentation with the IDEAL IMPLANT Premium Protection Plan for greater peace of mind if an issue should arise, and the plan is renewable for life.

This first-of-its-kind breast implant protection plan provides women with financial assistance for uninsured expenses of early complications that may include bleeding, infection, anesthesia, blood clots and wound healing events, as well as late complications such as deflation, capsular contracture and scar revision. Women enroll with their surgeon prior to the procedure for a one-time payment of $189 for primary breast augmentation or $249 if exchanging existing implants. Continuing protection costs $79 a year.

The IDEAL IMPLANT Premium Protection Plan provides financial assistance up to the limits shown:

  • $10,000 PROTECTION during the first 60 days after the procedure for bleeding, infection, anesthesia, blood clots and wound healing events.
  • $5,000 PROTECTION during the first year for capsular contracture, deflation, insertional scar revision and related events.

  • $5,000 PROTECTION during renewal years for capsular contracture, deflation, insertional scar revision and related events.

  • RENEWABLE ANNUALLY FOR LIFE for greater peace of mind and financial protection.

All women receiving IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implants receive replacement implants for life due to deflation and for 10 years due to capsular contracture. Women who do not select the Premium Protection Plan are automatically enrolled in the company's Basic Protection Plan, which provides up to $3,500 in financial assistance for deflation for 10 years.

"We feel our responsibility to women receiving our implants doesn't end when the final stitch is tied," said Dr. Robert S. Hamas, IDEAL IMPLANT inventor and board-certified plastic surgeon. "While IDEAL IMPLANT offers some of the lowest rupture and capsular contracture rates among implants, we want to provide women with financial peace of mind in case an unexpected expense arises, whether for an early post-operative complication, or a problem that arises many years in the future."

"The IDEAL IMPLANT Premium Protection Plan has benefits that go far beyond what other implant companies offer," Dr. Hamas explained. "Coupled with the already high-performing IDEAL IMPLANT, this new program is a win-win for women desiring more natural looking and feeling breast implants, with the greater peace of mind that comes from both the safety of saline inside and the expanded financial protection."

About IDEAL IMPLANT Ideal Implant Incorporated is a privately held company that was founded in 2006 by Robert S. Hamas, MD, the plastic surgeon who invented the IDEAL IMPLANT. After years of dealing with ruptured silicone gel implants and listening to patient concerns, Dr. Hamas realized that women wanted a new type of breast implant—one that would combine the natural feel of a silicone gel implant with only saline inside for safety and peace of mind.

The unique design of the IDEAL IMPLANT provides a natural feel and youthful look—without using silicone gel. The IDEAL IMPLANT incorporates a series of shells nested together and two separate chambers that hold saline. This patented internal structure controls movement of the saline and supports the implant edges to prevent collapse and wrinkling. IDEAL IMPLANT has undergone 10 years of development, testing, and refinement—including contributions of clinical expertise from other board-certified plastic surgeons. The IDEAL IMPLANT was approved by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada in 2014.
