Netsmart University Announces Partner Referral Agreement With New York Association of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Providers

NEW YORK, Jan. 26 Netsmart Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-wide software and services for health and human services organizations, today announced it has entered into a partner referral agreement with the New York State Association of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers (ASAP) for Netsmart University, the company's comprehensive education, online learning and learning management solution.

ASAP is a not-for-profit membership association which seeks to improve the quality of life in the State of New York by advocating for and promoting the highest quality treatment, prevention, research and training in chemical dependency services. ASAP is the member association for the largest system of substance abuse providers in the nation. The agreement to launch "ASAP University" through Netsmart was announced at NY ASAP's 11th Annual Conference in New York City.

ASAP University will offer access to Netsmart University's online and classroom courses to ASAP's more than 250 member organizations, which includes agencies and programs across the State of New York that provide alcoholism and substance abuse prevention, treatment, research and training programs.



Netsmart University's full-featured learning management system enables organizations to create Web-based corporate learning portals to support employee training and development, gain staff continuing education units (CEUs), and improve staff retention and productivity.



"Netsmart University's capabilities gives ASAP members a cost-effective and efficient way to access continuing education and professional training that is critical to the field in a forum that is both convenient and conducive to these challenging economic times," said ASAP's Executive Director John Coppola.
