OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Nebraska Total Care announced today they have been awarded Interim NCQA accreditation.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to assessing and reporting on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral healthcare organizations, preferred provider organizations,

new health plans, physician organizations, credentials verification organizations, disease management programs and other health-related programs.

Interim status is awarded to organizations with structure and processes in place to meet expectations for consumer protection and quality improvement. For a new health plan, this is the initial step toward full accreditation and requires demonstration of significant service and clinical quality performance.

"NCQA accreditation is a reflection of the work our employees do every day," said Ryan Sadler, Plan President of Nebraska Total Care. "Earning Interim Accreditation recognizes our success in delivering continuous improvement and high-quality service for our members and providers."

Nebraska Total Care will undergo a Full Survey within 18 months to demonstrate they have executed processes effectively.
