N.Y. Jets Star Cotchery Shares Nutrition Advice With Long Island School

WHO: New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery and students of North Middle School WHAT: Cotchery will host an assembly to encourage physical activity and discuss good nutritional habits, such as three servings of dairy a day. WHY: In November, New York schools were challenged by the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council and the N.Y. Jets to eat healthy by participating in the school breakfast program. The American Dairy Association and Dairy Council together with the Jets have partnered to promote nutrition and physical fitness to New York students as a way of preventing growing rates of childhood obesity through in-school promotions and contests. North Middle School doubled their participation rates prompting the sponsors to arrange the visit.
