All K Street Group Officers assigned to any student youth tour group, project high school graduation event, or adolescent celebration party will commence NARCAN training in January 2019. Officers will participate in a web-based training curriculum followed by a knowledge assessment quiz before becoming eligible to administer NARCAN in a suspected emergency opioid overdose situation.

NARCAN® (naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray is the first and only FDA-approved nasal form of naloxone for the emergency treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose. NARCAN® Nasal Spray counteracts the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose and is easily administered with no medical training required.
