Mylan Launches Generic Version of Risperdal® M-Tab®

PITTSBURGH, May 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mylan Inc. (Nasdaq: MYL) today announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched Risperidone Orally Disintegrating Tablets (ODT), 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg, 3 mg and 4 mg, the generic version of Ortho-McNeil's Risperdal® M-Tab®, a treatment for schizophrenia.

Risperidone ODT had U.S. sales of approximately $61 million for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2010, according to IMS Health.

Currently, Mylan has 169 ANDAs pending FDA approval representing $100.7 billion in annual sales, according to IMS Health. Forty-five of these pending ANDAs are potential first-to-file opportunities, representing $25.8 billion in annual brand sales, for the 12 months ending June 30, 2010, according to IMS Health.
