In Partnership with Smiles for Everyone Foundation, Monarch Dental Provides over $40,000 in Donated Dental Care

FORT SMITH, Ark., Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Monarch DentalŪ, Fort Smith, AR

knows a thing or two about giving back to their community. In partnership with Charolette Tidwell and Antioch Youth & Family, the Fort Smith Team has lent a helping hand to those in need for many years. It was only fitting that they would partner with Smiles for Everyone Foundation to host a Day of Giving and give back using the skills they know best!

On Saturday, September 29, the office opened its doors to provide pro-bono dental services to the local community. Seven doctors and nearly 20 support staff delivered smiles, and even tears of joy, to many patients in need.

"I was surprised, I did not expect the service I got!" said patient Judith. "I thank you so much; not having dental insurance is hard and I care about my smile. You guys are great, may God continue to bless you."

Since the Fort Smith team already had a strong connection with Antioch Youth and Family they asked Smiles for Everyone Foundation to partner with Charolette Tidwell to promote the event to the communities in need. Antioch Youth and Family provides thousands of meals to Arkansas communities, where one-in-five people are food insecure. Within days of connecting with Charolette, the schedule for the Fort Smith Day of Giving was full.

Smiles for Everyone Foundation would not be able to continue their mission of delivering "smiles for everyone" without the partnership of Smile Brands Inc. affiliated dental offices, like the Fort Smith Monarch Dental, as well as the partnerships created with non-profits in the community. Other non-profits that assisted in identifying underserved individuals to attend the Fort Smith Day of Giving include Community Rescue Mission and The Next Step, which both provide housing and resources to the homeless; as well as Hamilton House, which supports families who have faced abuse.

Overall, the team was able to provide dental care to nearly 60 patients, deliver over $40,000 in donated dentistry. The Smiles for Everyone Foundation looks forward to returning to Arkansas to deliver more Smiles to people in need in 2019. The Foundation continues to host pro bono dental clinics across the United States, with three more on the calendar for 2018. Please visit http://www.smilesforeveryone.org for more information.
