HYDERABAD, India, August 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

Offer all vital tests for INR 1947 only

India celebrates the 70th year of independence, MaxCure Hospitals announced an initiative to help make India free from diseases. They have designed a new health check-up package, that
helps monitor all critical health concerns, only at INR 1947, as a mark of the year of independence. This freedom health check-up gives reports of about 68 parameters and includes 4 consultations. The tests included in the package alone, would cost about INR 8000 otherwise.

On the occasion of launching this scheme, Dr. Anil Krishna, Managing Director of MaxCure Hospitals said, "We often notice cases where people contract diseases from others who are carriers of the disease causing virus/bacteria, but not sick themselves. This happens because the immunity strength varies from person to person. Getting regular check-ups done not only helps an individual, but also those around them. One of our biggest motivators to launch such a discounted health check package was to help make India free of communicable diseases. This is a small step, but a start nonetheless."

Needless to mention, the check-ups help a person monitor their own health, diagnose any ailment at an early stage and allow for better care. Early detection also leads to restricting the effect of a disease, before the concern becomes any bigger.

Dr. Sharath Reddy, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Director, MaxCure Hospitals said, "We Indians are very good at procrastination. Often times, we notice that health is the last priority in a person's schedule. Work and home take up most of their time and health and fitness would include a session at the gym or a swim. What people forget is that regular monitoring of vitals is equally important. We would earlier say that this is important beyond the age of 40 or so, but these days, just look at the number of youngsters losing their lives to cardiac arrest."

Recent instances of Actor Inder Kumar and Dhruv Sharma's deaths due to cardiac arrest with no prior symptoms are cases in point for why regular health check-ups are essential. "Since these actors were famous, a lot of people know about them. As a hospital with a 24X7 Emergency Centre, we have seen enough cases of young professionals even under the age of 25 who suffered a cardiac arrest and did not make it to the hospital alive. This is an alarming situation," added Dr. Reddy.

Mr. Hari Krishna, CEO of the Group commented, "We are making an effort to increase awareness among the masses and to give them an occasion to focus on their health. For every holiday, people will plan getaways, treks, and other such outings, but no one thinks, let me visit hospital and get a health check-up done. We understand that hospitals are not the best place to be, but we are trying to change that by allowing people to get tested, collect reports and consult a doctor, all in a single day. It is the simplest, single point health check-up ecosystem that we have created across 6 centres. It is standardised across all."
