"The birth of a child is one of the most cherished and important events in our world, and we must do everything we can to enhance the health of our mothers, babies and newborns throughout the pregnancy and after childbirth," said Cherie Polk, director of medical management of Magnolia Health, who oversees the health care provider's baby shower program. "Our baby showers give expectant mothers a head-start to healthier babies with a variety of resources that are caring, compassionate and cost effective."

The Magnolia Health baby shower offered numerous resources for these expecting mothers, and educated them on all aspects of pregnancy – what to expect, good lifestyle choices, healthy diet, exercise and helpful tips on newborn care and wellness.
