MCG Health's Dr. William Rifkin to Speak at 2019 ACMA National Conference

Managing Editor of the nationally recognized MCG care guidelines will present on unexplained variation in clinical decision-making

SEATTLE, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MCG Health, part of the Hearst Health network, and a leading provider

of informed care strategies, announces Managing Editor and Physician Relations Specialist, William Rifkin MD, FACP, will speak at the American Case Management Association National Conference on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., in Seattle, Wash. Dr. Rifkin will present the session "Unexplained Variation in Clinical Decision-Making," which will highlight prominent examples of variation in care delivery, discuss the clinical significance of these variations, and review how benchmark measures can help to identify such variation. In addition, the role of interventions, such as evidence-based guideline application, will be discussed.

Dr. Rifkin oversees guideline and content development focused on hospital-based care (medical and surgical) for MCG. Before joining MCG in 2009, he was an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York.

The American Case Management Association (ACMA) National Conference is an annual event that offers networking and learning opportunities for case management and healthcare professionals such as nurses and social workers as well as physicians and physician advisors. The extensive program also offers continuing education (CE) credits for selected sessions which have been approved by organizations such as the California Board of Registered Nursing and the Florida Board of Social Work.
