Beauty Professionals Encouraged to Share Educational Materials

in Their Salons in October

WASHINGTON, July 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Look Good. . .Feel Better, a national public service program created to help women cope with the appearance-related changes of cancer treatment, today announced a new in-salon awareness campaign with the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) to generate awareness and increase program participation during its 20th anniversary year. The beauty industry's flagship charity, Look Good. . .Feel Better is a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the National Cosmetology Association.

The campaign targets more than 25,000 NCA members, who are professional cosmetologists, estheticians, and nail technicians, to raise awareness of the Look Good. . .Feel Better program, which includes free workshops for women and teens coping with cancer treatment, and provides information on skin care and make-up application, and advice on dealing with hair loss and nail care. NCA members can request free Look Good. . .Feel Better educational materials, including posters and point-of-purchase information for display and distribution in their salons during October. Orders are being accepted on the Look Good. . .Feel Better Web site at www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org until August 31, 2009.
