Light Up to Live Valor Charity Tournaments and Valor Ball to Benefit Veterans With PTSD

Golf tournament, Clay Shoot, and Gala Held Sept. 21-22 to Raise Funds, Awareness

DALLAS, Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Light Up To Live Foundation, a charity founded by Randall and Sherry Reed, is honored to be hosting the upcoming Valor Charity Events taking place this weekend, September 21-22. The events will consist of a golf tournament, clay shoot tournament, and black-tie ball, all of which will raise awareness and funds to support the rehabilitation and medical needs of our military Veterans returning home after active duty.

"Light Up To Live has teamed up with Operation Rock the Troops with a mission: to assist our military men and women both in active duty and returning home, who are suffering from conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)," said Randall Reed, Founder of Light Up to Live Foundation. To kick off the trifecta of events, the Valor Golf Tournament begins on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas. Saturday, the Valor Clay Shoot will take place at the Elm Fork Shooting Sports range.

The final event, The Valor Ball, will take place Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. In attendance will be Mistress of Ceremonies LeeAnne Locken of the Real Housewives of Dallas, Owners of World Class Automotive Group and InLight Medical Randall and Sherry Reed, Operation Rock the Troops Founder Matthew JC, Retired NFL defensive player Tim Krumrie, Founder of Patriotic Service Dogs Tom Tackett, and Founders of the Task Force Dagger Foundation Keith and Keline David, whose foundation supports the needs of special forces members and their families.

At the Valor Ball, there will be a preview of the short film "Operation Torrent" about Special Forces member Josh Collins' attempt at paddle-boarding the Pacific Ocean to raise awareness about veterans' needs. Additionally, A highlight of the evening will be a live auction by Dean McCurry's Auction Services, at which Jeff and Stacey Jeans will donate 10% ownership in their soon-to-be-born thoroughbred foal with championship lineage. Guests will also be encouraged to participate in the auction that will fund the training of two service dogs to be gifted to two military Veterans by Patriotic Service Dogs.

Specifically, funds will directly support:

  • The manufacturing and donating the FDA-cleared InLight Medical Polychromatic Light
  • Therapy devices used to support the medical treatment for those suffering from symptoms associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) depression and soft tissue injuries while in service.
  • Free Music Lessons for Active Duty and Veterans across the U.S., entertainment events for Veterans and an annual music grant given to an Active Duty or Veteran using music to enhance their community.
  • State-of-the-art brain imaging, medical assistance, travel, accommodations, food, and family support for those in need.
