"Third party validation is an important aspect of our brand as one of the top-rated drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs in Western Canada," explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "We're happy to report that Sunshine Coast Health Centre has gone beyond the requirements of the Qmentum accreditation program and has been commended for our commitment to quality improvement. We are accredited until March 2022 provided program requirements continue to be met."

Please note that the Centre is a "male only" program, utilizing a non 12 step methodology based on Viktor Frankl's methodology of meaning. Interested persons or their loved ones are urged to reach out to the Centre for a confidential consultation.

A NON 12 STEP DRUG REHAB AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT PROGRAM

SHCH uses a methodology based on the pioneering work of Viktor Frankl, who wrote "Man's Search for Meaning" out of his experience in the Holocaust of World War II. The methodology gives persons a valuable alternative in their struggle to overcome addiction and is a secular methodology as opposed to the popular "faith based" methodology of the 12 steps. Clients come to SCHC from all over Canada, not only the Western cities and provinces such as Vancouver, Victoria, or other cities in British Columbia but also adjacent provinces such as Alberta (cities such as Calgary and Edmonton) and as far away as Toronto, Ontario.

The methodology is also "evidence based," and the Centre works hard to secure external third-party validation. By participating in Qmentum's rigorous accreditation program, the Centre is able to get an external audit of its strengths and weaknesses and then to work on improvement. Qmemtum's Accreditation Canada's program is built upon over 100 globally-influenced and jurisdictionally-tailored standards, developed by their affiliate organization, HSO. Health care accreditation is an ongoing process of assessing health care and social services organizations against standards of excellence to identify what is being done well and what needs to be improved. Accreditation is important because it helps create better health care and social services in Canada. It allows organizations to understand how to make better use of their resources, increase efficiency, enhance quality and safety, and reduce risk. More than 1,100 health care and social service organizations, representing over 7,000 sites and services, are accredited by Accreditation Canada.
