CARMEL, Ind., Nov. 16 Conseco, Inc. (NYSE: CNO) announced that Thomas R. Kaehr is joining the company, effective November 30, as vice president of internal audit. He will report to Neal Schneider, chair of the Audit and Enterprise Risk Committee of the Board of Directors, and to Conseco CEO Jim Prieur.

Kaehr joins Conseco from Security Benefit Corporation, where he served since 2005, most recently as vice president of finance, controller and treasurer. He also served in several finance management positions during 18 years with Lincoln National Corporation including director of internal audit and controller.

Kaehr earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana State Society of CPAs, and holds a CPA certification.
