Elsevier's Engineering and Technology Division today congratulated Johnand Jean Piety on being this year's recipients of the Special LibraryAssociation's (SLA) Engineering Division Librarians of the Year Award. Mr.and Mrs. Piety's contributions to the SLA Engineering Division includeexceptional performance while holding a variety of positions within SLA.

Jean has been a member of SLA since 1958, thus celebrating her 50thanniversary this year, while John has been a member since 1975. SLA listsJean as having held Cleveland Chapter positions as Networking Chair,President-Elect & President.
John has served as Bulletin Editor, President-Elect and President of theCleveland Chapter, Membership Chair, Chair-Elect and Chair of the IT Divisionof SLA and has served on the Bylaws Committee for the Association.
Sponsored by Elsevier's Engineering and Technology Division, the 14thannual award includes a certificate of achievement and a $1,500 stipend. Itwas presented to Mr. and Mrs. Piety during the Engineering Division Award'sLuncheon at the 40th Annual SLA annual conference in Seattle, WA on June 15th.
