The Isagenix Legacy Foundation is anticipated to award single-year or multiyear grants in amounts of up to $250,000 per year. The Isagenix Legacy Foundation Board will select the recipients who will be notified in December and announced at the Isagenix New Year Kick Off 2019 event in January in Phoenix, Arizona.

"It's exciting to open the grant-application process, as it means the Isagenix community is one step closer to partnering with nonprofit organizations that share our passion for making the world a better place," said Kathy Coover, Isagenix International co-founder and executive vice president. "We look forward to hearing from nonprofits across the United States that can help us ensure children have proper nutrition, people are educated and empowered to live healthy lives, and families can recover from natural disasters."

Isagenix launched the Isagenix Legacy Foundation in August at its Global Celebration 2018 event in Nashville, Tennessee. During its first 24 hours of fundraising, the Foundation raised $2.3 million thanks to the generosity of the company's independent distributors, customers, and employees and a matching pledge from Isagenix Co-Founders Jim and Kathy Coover. While onstage at Global Celebration, the Coovers pledged to match every dollar raised for the Foundation during the first day of fundraising up to $1 million, a challenge exceeded by the event participants.

100 percent of donations received by the Isagenix Legacy Foundation will fund grants, as Isagenix is covering all administrative costs of the Foundation. While the first round of grants will go to U.S.-based nonprofits, the Foundation expects to be registered in Canada and to begin accepting applications from Canadian nonprofits in 2019. The Foundation expects to register in other markets in which Isagenix operates over the next few years.

As the Foundation begins the U.S. grant-application process, it continues to fundraise from a variety of sources, including:

  • Isagenix customers and independent distributors who can add one-time or recurring donations to their orders.
  • Independent distributors who can donate a set amount or a percentage of their commissions each week.
  • Customers and independent distributors who attend Isagenix events or participate via livestream and can donate through the company's event app.
  • The general public who can donate by visiting the Isagenix Legacy Foundation's donation webpage or emailing [email protected].
